WHAT IS A DELTA-E?
Use the BASIC option to select commonly used values of 2 for acceptability and 1 for the threshold of imperceptibility.
Use the ADVANCED option to vary the commercial factor (cf), lightness (l) and chroma (c) parameters to customize your acceptable tolerance standard. A default acceptability setting uses a ratio of 2:1 for l and c, with cf set at 1.
DELTA-E TOLERANCE
You can set the Delta-E lower (to 1.0) and we suggest that you do. A Delta-E of 1.0 or less is imperceivable to the human eye. That assures that the product image you display on an eCommerce platform and the actually product in inventory will match.
LOCK IN RESULT
You can also unlock a result by selecting the LOCK ICON. Once unlocked, simply resample and follow the established protocol for sampling an image.
